Being a commuter student usually means spending extra time driving and having more down-time between classes. One key to succeeding as a commuter student is using that time wisely. 你是否需要学习, 吃, 打个盹, 或者和朋友出去玩, we have got just the place for you.

The 通勤的房子 is the hub of 通勤生活 and your “home away from home.” It is a place where commuter students come to rest, connect with others and participate in many events. The 通勤的房子 is staffed and fully equipped to meet the unique needs of Fresno Pacific University commuter students. The 通勤的房子 amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, 冰箱, 微波, TV, 视频控制台, 小组学习空间, 棋盘游戏, 舒适的沙发和椅子, an at-cost snack bar and free coffee!

The 通勤休息室 provides additional space for commuter students to study, gather and rest. It is located on the north side of Jost Hall and provides a 冰箱, 水槽, 微波, 音乐和学习空间.

通勤生活 plans a calendar of events for commuter students every semester. Make sure you hear about upcoming events by connecting with 通勤生活 on social media and looking for our emails in your university inbox.

通勤烧烤,

What better way is there to get to know your fellow students than to enjoy some free hamburgers and lawn-games together? 通勤烧烤, are planned for each semester. We hope these events give you a chance to refuel and reconnect with your fellow commuters throughout the semester.

通勤旅行

One of the best parts of being a college student is the chance to make memories and experience new things. This is why 通勤生活 makes sure to plan commuter trips. Each trip is based on requests from current commuter students, 但皮斯莫海滩, 圣路易斯奥比斯波, San Francisco and Monterey are always popular choices.

A: Parking passes for the H吃on, Jost, Chestnut and Hamilton lots can be purchased at the Cashier’s Office in MacDonald Hall. Parking is always free in the Butler Church lot, 斯坦纳运动中心, the adjacent gravel lot and on all city streets.

A: You can purchase meals from the Shehadey Dining Hall or 夏洛特的咖啡角. The Shehadey Dining Hall offers weekly discounted lunches for commuter students. At-cost snacks are available in the 通勤的房子.

Q: What else can I do on campus?

  • A: Places for quite study include the 通勤休息室, Hiebert Library and the computer lab located in the basement of Kriegbaum Hall.
  • A: Places for socializing and studying include the 通勤的房子, 学生休息室, 夏洛特的咖啡角, AIMS Hall Atrium and "The Forest."
  • A: Places for games and recr吃ion include the 通勤的房子, game room and "The Green."
